At the University Club we offer some of the best fitness programs in Memphis to fit your everyday schedule. Our instructors are certified, experienced, encouraging and knowledgeable.  During COVID19 there are some virtual classes available.  All of our classes can be modified to accommodate any age and fitness level.

Our Athletic Building was completely gutted with an extensive $3.25 million renovation that began in October 2013. The locker rooms were refurbished with new steam showers, saunas, Jacuzzis, lounge areas and updated décor.  A new multi-purpose exercise room was added, as well as a new family changing area and a new childcare room. The fatball and racquetball/smallball courts were consolidated and refurbished. Our Locker Rooms & Group Fitness Room reopened in Summer 2014.

      1. All guests must be accompanied by a Member at all times.
      2. Guest Policy: a guest can use the Athletic Building only once a week, unless they are from outside Shelby County and guest arrangements have been made.
      3. A Guest Fee of $7.00 per guest, per visit, will be applied to Member statements. If you have questions or concerns regarding the athletic building and it's programs and offerings, please email [email protected]
      All guests must be accompanied by a member. Unmarried members may bring a date free of charge. Guests of members are prohibited from using the fitness center Monday through Friday from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Guest fees apply for use of any of the athletic building facilities. If you have a guest from out of town, please contact the Director of Membership & Marketing to obtain a guest pass.

    • Here at the Club, we offer a variety of fitness classes to suite everyone's needs. Our trainers are the best in town and are constantly updating and reinventing our classes to keep them current and fresh.

  • Meet the Trainers

    • Meet Nic Ferrante, a certified personal trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, and corrective exercise specialist from Memphis, TN.

      Nic holds a B.S. degree in Exercise Sports and Movement Science from the University of Memphis, as well as an M.S. degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida.

      With a background in cardiac and orthopedic rehab, he worked as a corrective exercise coach in a gym setting as a personal trainer with general and special populations ranging all ages.Additionally, Nic has worked as a strength and conditioning coach in athletics, spanning from grade school to professional levels.  

      An avid weightlifter and competitive endurance athlete, Nic enjoys an active lifestyle and a love for the outdoors. His passion lies in not only guiding individuals to improve their health throughexercise but also in teaching them how to move better through corrective exercise, promoting sustainability and longevity.
